President, Dog Trainer, Lead Caregiver

IMG_3977

Anne is the founder and President of Who Wants to Pawty LLC. In 2000, Anne left a career in banking to pursue her dream of working with animals. She took her first job in a veterinary office. She started as a receptionist and after that, worked many years as a veterinary assistant. She has had the privilege of caring for dogs, cats, birds, and other small animals. Through her years working in veterinary offices, she realized the need for quality in-home pet care such as pet sitting and dog walking services. She could see some pets needed more attention and required a skillful hand to administer medications and attend to special needs. So in 2012, Who Wants To Pawty LLC was born. To improve her skills, as well as broaden Who Wants to Pawty LLC’s list of services, Anne enrolled at the Animal Behavior College to become a certified dog trainer where she graduated with honors. Being a balanced trainer, open to many methods, she focuses on positive reinforcement training techniques and enjoys helping owners learn how to better understand and communicate with their dogs.

Fun Facts About Anne:

Anne and her husband Brian share their home with two senior dogs, a senior cat, and a high-energy puppy named Petey (aka Pawty Pete). To keep Petey busy and to broaden her training skills, Anne and Petey will both be learning about the world of dog sports such as Agility, DiscDogs, and Nose Work. When Anne is not spending time with pets, both clients’ and her own, she is usually training for a triathlon or another endurance event. Growing up in a large family, Anne has always had a competitive spirit and after watching her husband complete his first triathlon, she decided that she could “tri” too! Anne combines her love of pets and endurance sports by racing for Team Paws as she has in 2012 and 2013. Besides triathlons, Anne also enjoys ice dancing which she has been doing off and on for the last 7 years.
