Dog Training

At Who Wants to Pawty LLC, we believe training is a very important part of your dog’s development. Wether you have a brand-new puppy or an older dog, it’s never too soon or too late to start training. Our dedicated and balanced trainers want to help strengthen the bond between you and your pet and focus on using positive reinforcement training techniques. Besides teaching basic obedience, we also help owners solve common problem behaviors such as chewing, jumping up, barking, digging and more.

BENEFITS OF GROUP TRAINING

  • Your dog gets valuable socialization with other dogs and people.
  • Possibility of making new friends for both you and your dog.
  • Your dog learns to focus despite the distractions of other dogs and people.

BENEFITS OF PRIVATE LESSONS

  • Allows our Trainers to asses problems as they happen in the home.
  • Our Trainers can best evaluate how to manage your dog’s environment.
  • It’s a great option for dogs that do not get along with other dogs.

PAWTY TRICKS 101 – TRICKS CLASS:
Teaching your dog how to do tricks is a great way to have fun and bond with your dog. Dogs enjoy having a job to do and keeping your dog busy helps keep him out of trouble. Teaching your dog a new trick is a great way to burn off energy when the weather is bad and you cannot take them out for a walk.  You can also impress your friends with your dog’s new skills!  Shake, Wave, Speak, Bang, Beg, Balancing a Treat on the Nose, Crawl, Jumping Through a Hoop, Bow, Say Prayers, Roll Over and Peek-A-Boo will be covered in class.

Dogs should have a solid knowledge of the cues, Sit, Down, Stay, Leave It, and Come as these are the foundation for the tricks they will be learning.
